Belize River Lodge is a legendary, world-class fishing lodge that has been in continuous operation since 1960. Originally opened as Barothy’s Caribbean Lodge Ltd., it was the first fishing lodge in all of Belize. Today, the lodge is still going strong, offering anglers easy access to several rivers, creeks, the Barrier Reef, and the area’s vast offshore system of flats and mangrove cays. It is without a doubt one of the top tarpon fishing destinations in Belize, offering anglers consistent tarpon action as well as shots at bonefish, permit, snook, and more.
