Current Trip Specials
The first guest buys a single occupancy package and your roommate comes free!
This special creates the opportunity for two anglers to split the single angler rate. For example, a seven night stay with six days of guided fishing creates an effective per person, double occupancy rate of $3512.50USD (the single angler rate divided in half).
Offer valid for arrivals between June 15 – December 14, 2020. Not valid with other offers.

A Belizean establishment for anglers of all experience levels and non angling guests
El Pescador Lodge, in business for over 40 years, is one of the best-run, most famous fly fishing lodges in all of Central America. Situated only 15 minutes by light aircraft from Belize City on the island of Ambergris Caye, the lodge offers world-class sight fishing for The Big Three: tarpon, permit, and bonefish. El Pescador Lodge was one of the original properties that we worked with, and it remains one of our all-time favorite destinations.
Choose between recently renovated rooms in the colonial-style Main Lodge, or upgrade to the larger El Pescador Villas. All rooms in the Main Lodge and all Villas are oceanfront with views of the Caribbean Sea and Belize Barrier Reef. Modern, air-conditioned lodge rooms feature private ensuite baths, a small refrigerator and coffee maker, one king or two queen beds, and sitting area. Couples, families or small groups who prefer additional space and privacy can opt for a one, two or three-bedroom Villa with a living area, full kitchen, dining room and spacious deck with direct access to the pools.
The restaurant and dining room specialize in fresh, local Caribbean cuisine with meals served on the outdoor deck or in the main dining room. Breakfasts are made to order, and lunch each day is ordered off of a menu and packed in a cooler for your day on the water. Guests come together each evening for an expansive dinner buffet in the dining room.
Typical Length of Stay
El Pescador requests a three-night minimum stay. A package of any number of nights and guided fishing days can be arranged, and guests can arrive and depart on any day of the week.
Non-Angling Activities and Options
Activities include PADI-certified diving, naturalist excursions, snorkeling, tours of Mayan ruins, beach combing, trips to the town of San Pedro, bicycling, and more. Amenities include three swimming pools, a large indoor/outdoor bar area, complimentary Wi-Fi, satellite TV, bicycles, sea kayaks, volleyball court, and access to some of the best diving and snorkeling in Belize!
Wi-Fi is available free of charge for guests.

Fish for bones along the many tidal flats and mangroves, or for larger species along the Barrier Reef. Target large permit on deepwater flats, chase schools of smaller permit between the mangrove islands, or sight fish on the largest tarpon flats in the world outside of South Florida.
Resident schools of 20 to 80-pound tarpon roam the flats of Ambergris year-round, while migratory fish in the 100 to 200-pound range arrives in strong numbers in late spring and early summer. It is also possible to find other species, like snook, large jack, snapper, and cuda. While the tarpon and permit fishing in this part of Belize is almost always done from the boat, there are some places where an angler can wade hard-bottomed flats while stalking schools of bonefish.
Boats and Equipment
Guides fish from 23-foot Mexican super pangas, outfitted with large and spacious casting decks and poling platforms for the guides. The lodge also offers top-of-the-line loaner gear and equipment, included in the cost of the overall package. There is a fully-stocked fly shop at the lodge where you can purchase flies, leaders, tippet and other items.
