Description
The Bead Head Hare’s Ear is up there in the echelons of fly lore--Loved by anglers, feared by trout. It is a simple, but very effective nymph used to imitate a variety of mayfly and caddis nymphs. Tied with natural hare’s ear dubbing and the guard hairs of a hare's mask, it has a super buggy appearance that mimics the appearance of numerous aquatic insects. The Hare's Ear is a reliable choice for fishing under an indicator or as part of a two-fly rig or as a go-to dropper pretty much any time of the year.
