Who is this pack for?
The Thunderhead Submersible Sling 13L is built for anglers who want quick access to their gear without sacrificing full submersion protection -- boat trips through rapids, a deep wade that goes wrong, or a day of getting sprayed on the bow. A self-healing TRU Zip closure and 900D TPU-coated fabric keep the roomy main compartment sealed, while the sling design lets it rotate from back to front for fast access without taking it off.
Is the Fishpond Thunderhead Sling Fully Waterproof?
The main compartment is fully waterproof and submersible. Fishpond uses 900D TPU-coated NewStream fabric paired with a self-healing waterproof TRU Zip closure.
The exterior front pocket is different: its zipper is water resistant, not waterproof. Phones, cameras, keys, and anything else that absolutely needs to remain dry should be stored inside the main compartment.
What's included, and what's sold separately?
One set of Lariat Gear Straps ships with the pack. Everything else Fishpond lists as compatible -- the Thunderhead Water Bottle Holder, a Sandbar Travel Pouch, a Thunderhead Bear Spray Holder, a Thunderhead Sling Padded Insert, and various retractors and tippet holders -- is sold separately and attaches via the pack's exterior Hypalon tabs and reinforced cord loops.
