Description

The Orvis Carry-It-All bag was designed years ago by Orvis Chairman Perk Perkins to be sure his equipment stayed safe and in his possession on flights to fly-fishing destinations. Built from 100% recycled CORDURA®, the Carry-It-All protects and organizes all your fly-fishing equipment in a separate internal zippered storage compartment for rods, with internal compartments and adjustable dividers to securely customize the storage of the rest of your gear.

Zippered stretch-mesh compartments offer additional divided storage, and a lockable zipper protects the main compartment. The outer corners are reinforced for extra protection, and there's an external zippered pocket for quick-access items. A removable padded shoulder strap makes it easy to carry hands-free -- float plane, jet plane, or the back of a truck, it's built to protect your equipment along the way.

Features

•    100% Recycled CORDURA® re/cor™ Shell — 600-denier polyester with strategic TPU coating for durability and weather resistance.
•    Separate Rod Compartment — A dedicated internal zippered compartment keeps rods apart from the rest of your gear.
•    Adjustable Internal Dividers — Customize storage for reels and equipment; zippered stretch-mesh compartments add further divided storage.
•    Lockable Main Compartment — A lockable zipper adds security and protection for your equipment.
•    Reinforced Outer Corners — Extra protection against rough handling during travel.
•    External Zippered Pocket — Keeps quick-access items within reach without opening the main compartment.

FAQ

Who Is the Orvis Carry-It-All For?
The Orvis Carry-It-All is for traveling anglers who want to consolidate rods, reels, fly boxes, and other fishing equipment into one organized, protective bag. A separate zippered rod compartment keeps rods away from the rest of your gear, while adjustable internal dividers let you configure the main compartment around different reel sizes and accessories.

It's particularly useful for destination trips where you're bringing several rods and reels and don't want to juggle a collection of individual rod tubes and smaller gear bags.

What Is the Difference Between the Medium and Large Carry-It-All?
The main difference is rod length. The Medium measures 31" long and accommodates four-piece rods up to 9 feet, while the Large measures 36" long and accommodates four-piece rods up to 11 feet. The Medium weighs 5 lb 12 oz, while the Large weighs 6 lb 8 oz.

For most anglers traveling with standard 9-foot trout or saltwater rods, the Medium should provide enough length. The Large makes more sense for anglers traveling with longer switch, Spey, or other two-handed rods.

Is the Orvis Carry-It-All Carry-On Size?
No. At 31 inches long for the Medium and 36 inches for the Large, neither size technically fits within conventional airline carry-on dimensions. However, many airlines will accommodate. Airline policies regarding fishing rods and sporting equipment vary, so check with your carrier before traveling.

Is the Orvis Carry-It-All Waterproof?
No. The Carry-It-All is durable and weather resistant, but it is not waterproof or submersible. The exterior uses 600-denier recycled CORDURA re/cor polyester with strategic TPU coating for additional protection.

For electronics or anything that absolutely needs to remain dry, use a waterproof case or internal dry bag.

How Easy Is the Carry-It-All to Travel With?
A removable padded shoulder strap makes it easier to carry through airports and during transfers, and an exterior zippered pocket provides quick access to smaller travel essentials.

The tradeoff is that there are no wheels. At 5 lb 12 oz for the Medium and 6 lb 8 oz for the Large before adding gear, a fully loaded Carry-It-All can become fairly heavy.
