The Solarez High Output UVA Flashlight with Batteries and Charger often referred to as the “Resinator Kit” is a high-powered UV light designed to cure UV resin on flies quickly and consistently. It uses a specific 385nm wavelength, which is the ideal range for properly curing Solarez resins, allowing most applications to harden in about 30 seconds or less.
In fly tying, it’s used after applying UV resin to:
- Cure heads and bodies on streamers and nymphs
- Lock in durability on saltwater patterns
- Finish flies instantly instead of waiting for traditional cement to dry
