ASCENSION BAY
The 2nd Annual Ascension Bay Permit Tournament 2016 was held with enormous success in Punta Allen in April 2016. Filmmaker Christian Ihrybauer recently released a film about the event. Christian notes in his film introduction:
“We had 23 anglers competing for the top three spots, with all the prize money and more going to the nińos of Punta Allen in the form of new educative toys, improving safety standards of our playgrounds and many more projects. A very, very special thanks goes to all of the Donators to the "New Wheels for Paradise" crowdfunding campaign.
With a final big donation from the Tournament funds, we were able to buy Karlita a beautiful new Titanium wheelchair, that will see her commuting with less strain and discomforts for her little body. Thank you to the organizers, guides, competitors and Punta Alleneros for making this such a successful event and we are looking forward to doing it all again next year!
