- Yes, excellent communication throughout the booking process and follow up. Knowledgable team who had been to the specific lodge was a huge plus

-Â Yes super helpful and was dialed in every step of the way.

-Â Rooms were very clean, comfortable, and well kept.

- Loved our guides. We went with chepo, and Andy was the junior guide. They were both great people, and a blast to be around. I left the lodge so impressed with chepo’s skills as a guide. He is a master of his craft and his confidence and skill set was incredible as well as his ability to teach. They tailored the trip to exactly what we wanted to do, from wading and sightcasting to bonefish to chasing permit.
What key pieces of gear or flies made your trip successful?
- Sunglasses. Also had a 7 wt and a 9wt. I would’ve liked to have brought one more rod— likely a 10 for the baby tarpon and snook.
What piece(s) of equipment would not leave home without for this trip , or your next, with Yellow Dog?
- My 7wt is set up as a trout streamer rod and I could tell that the warm water was tough on the freshwater trout line. Made for tough casting.
Would you return to this lodge destination? Please share why or why not.
-Â Yes. Fishery was incredible, but we also had such a great time on the water with Chepo and Andy. Would love to see them again soon.
How would you briefly summarize your overall trip experience?
- It was incredible. Really loved the whole trip and am thankful that we were able to fish ascension bay. Can’t wait to get back.
