- It was great. Maria was awesome. Very attentive and timely.
Were the Yellow Dog pre-trip planning packet(s) and travel itinerary you received for your trip helpful and accurate? If not, how could it be improved?
- Very very helpful.
Did the lodging (rooms, dining area, social area, etc) match what you were expecting? If not, please provide additional comments or constructive feedback.
- We can’t say enough about Tipiliuke. The staff, managers made us feel like we were coming home after everyday on the river. One day I didn’t fish and stayed at the lodge to relax. The staff could not have been more helpful.
Did the food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) match what you were expecting? If not, please provide additional comments or constructive feedback.
- Food was excellent. Would have loved a little more variety at breakfast, but everything they served was cooked perfectly and delicious.
Do you have any comments or constructive feedback based on the service, friendliness, etc of the lodge staff?
- There is no way to improve on that. Each and every one of the staff was amazing.
Were you pleased with your guide(s) customer service, communication skills, professionalism, work ethic, and general fishing knowledge? If not, please share why.
- Yes. There were a couple of guides that were in training and that was slightly obvious. Nico was our main guide and he was excellent. Benjamin was assisting him and although he took cues from Nico, Benjamin was awesome. Very helpful. Polite. Patient and fun.
What key piece(s) of gear, tackle, flies, soft goods, etc. made your trip successful?
- The waders didn’t leak, the wading boots were soo comfy (which never happens when I rent/borrow) and the wine was right there at lunch when I needed it.
What piece(s) of equipment would you not leave home without for this trip?
- Raincoat/windbreaker. Chubby Chernobyl and hopper. Bottle opener. 🤭
Would you return to this destination? Please share why or why not.
- Yusss! Definitely want to come back! I was never bored of the rivers. Fished a different scene every day. I’d love to come back and spend a little more time in the town of San Martin. It’s hard to take a day to souvenir shop or sightsee when the fishing is so good. I’d also like to fish a lake around San Martin. They did that the day I took off to relax. Just not enough hours in the day.
