What:Â Celebrate Montana's Best in the Nation Stream Access Rule and learn more about what you can do to protect our access!
When:Â Wednesday, October 2nd // 5:30 - 7:30PM MST
Where:Â Gallatin County Fairgrounds -Â 901 N Black Ave, Bozeman, MT 59715 (Exhibit Building #1)
Why: Montana’s Stream Access Rule is the blue-ribbon standard for the entire country. In no other place does a rule like this exist, and it forms the backbone of public access to our shared waters across the state. Montanans support this law and have proven so by upholding it for over five decades. With the continued influx of wealthy out of state interests and individuals, we can expect it will continue to be challenged.
We're bringing together a broad coalition of NGOs, businesses, and individuals who rely on public access for their livelihoods. We will feature speakers discussing the past, present and future of stream access in the state, and why its preservation is so important to every Montanan. We are inviting candidates for statewide office, as well as all Montana House and Senate candidates from Park, Madison and Gallatin counties to join us at the event.
The event will feature live music from the Canoe Dealers, food trucks, beer, and beverages! This is YOUR opportunity to show up and make it known how critical this issue is to you, your livelihood, and to any and all who understand the value of perserving Montana's stream access laws. Â
