PRE-TRIP HOMEWORK: CDC HEALTH INFO
At any given point in time, we have Yellow Dog team members in multiple countries. This week, we’ve got staff in the field around the world and several who are prepping for upcoming travel.
We like to stay on top of preventative health concerns — it’s far easier to connect with a medical professional here in our home base of Bozeman than in some far corner of the world, and we’d always rather have an immunization than come down ill.
When you're preparing to travel, or if you have health and medical questions about a potential destination or what to expect in a particular region, then be sure to check out the website and homepage for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The information on this page will help you to be proactive, prepared, and protected when it comes to your health and the health of others. It’s easy to search by destination, travel notices, or disease concerns.
The CDC.gov website is the official site of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). It is a public domain Web site that provides direct access to important health and safety topics, scientific articles, data and statistics, tools and numerous travel resources.
There are also over 900 topics in the CDC.gov A-Z Index. We frequently visit the CDC site before heading overseas to ensure we’re covering all of our bases, and also confer with our local travel clinic. We also never leave home without first-aid basics and Global Rescue travel insurance. Check back later in the week for a breakdown of our travel first aid kit essentials!
