TRIP REPORT: THIRD ANNUAL YUCATAN FAMILY HOSTED TRIP Grand Slam Lodge - Yucatan, Mexico
Yellow Dog Flyfishing's Ian Davis just returned home from our annual family hosted trip to the Yucatan. This was the third year we've put on the annual Yucatan Family Hosted trip event to Grand Slam Fishing Lodge in Ascension Bay, and Sensatori Resort in Playa del.This year we added the first annual Ascension Bay Kid's Fishing Derby sponsored by Hatch Reels, Thomas and Thomas Fine Fly Rods, Simms Fishing, Grand Slam Lodge, and Yellow Dog FlyFishing Adventures. Kids were awarded prizes for most fish, most species, biggest bone, permit, tarpon, snook, and Cuda.
All proceeds from the final night's silent and live auction go to the Punta Allen Schools. The entire event was a huge success! Everyone had a great time, we raised some serous funds and everyone went home with a smile. See you next year!
