Yellow Dog was proud to support this year’s Fishing For The Fight team fishing tournament in Pinedale, Wyoming. This amazing annual gathering has become one of our favorite events of the year, and the 2023 FFF was particularly good to Yellow Dog’s team of Alec Gerbec and Jim Klug, who took home top honors for both days of competition. Biggest fish, most fish, and first place overall.
Fishing For The Fight is an amazing organization and event that provides assistance in a confidential, respectful way to Wyomingites fighting cancer, folks with special needs, and children with chronic illness. Since the beginning of the fundraiser seven years ago, more than $1,000,000 has been raised and distributed to those in need. This is a group that is really making a difference in so many people’s lives!
What makes this event so unique and special from a fishing standpoint is that all teams are fishing on private waters that have been donated by Pinedale area landowners. For two full days, teams get to fish on waters that are rarely seen or fished, including amazing stretches on the New Fork, Hoback, Faler Creek, La Barge and more.
