Description
The BC Mega Minnow is an articulated predator fly that blends elements of a baitfish streamer and a diving popper. Designed as a larger evolution of the BC Baitfish, the Mega Minnow creates considerably more movement and water displacement while targeting larger predatory fish.
A key feature is the articulated cable-chain construction, which gives the fly a pronounced side-to-side wiggle and swimming action while preventing the foam tail sections from spinning during the retrieve. The large buoyant foam head also changes how the fly fishes compared to the smaller BC Baitfish.
Rather than suspending in the water column, the Mega Minnow dives on the strip thanks to its angled front lip, then rises and backs upward on the pause much like a conventional crankbait. Combined with the articulated rear section, the result is a very distinct snake-like swimming action underwater.
