Lodging Details
The simple yet elegant mothership provides all the amenities for a great fishing trip. Enjoy Argentinean cuisines prepared by a gourmet chef. Dinners are served with a fine selection of renowned Argentinean wines. After dinner, reflect on the day of fishing in the mothership’s living and dining room. Furthermore, the boat has a great solarium on the upper deck where guests can enjoy a nice wine, cocktail, or cold beer. Guests stay in the 4 double occupancy rooms – each with air conditioning, TV, private bathroom, and comfortable beds.

Food and Beverages
Argentine cuisine is known for its phenomenal meats with incredible flavors and quality. Aside from the meat, Argentina produces cheeses, dairy products, fruits, and vegetables that pair marvelously with Argentina’s fine wines, beers, brandies, and regional liquors. On the mothership, breakfast consists of eggs, ham, fruits, and cold cereals, alongside locally sourced dairy products and marmalades. Lunches are served either at the mother ship or on the water. Appetizers include cow, goat, and sheep cheese from Cordoba, several cold cuts of ham, dried fillet steak, pork, deer, and wild boar, as well as sausages, salamis, olives, and pickles.

Typical Length of Stay
The typical lodge package on The Golden Dorado River Cruiser is seven (7) nights / with six (6) days of fishing. However, shorter stays are available.

Non-Angling Activities and Options
This is primarily a fishing-focused destination with few options for non-angling activities.

Internet / Communications
The Internet is available on the boat to all guests.

How To Get There
Several major U.S. cities have overnight flights to Buenos Aires’ Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE). Once you touch down in Buenos Aires a transfer agent will pick you up at either your hotel or airport. The staff member will take you on the 2.5-hour ground transfer and then to a subsequent 1-hour boat transfer to the mothership.

Arrival and Departure Details / Times
We suggest booking your flight to arrive in Buenos Aires as early as possible. This way you have ample time to take advantage of the fishing on arrival day. When departing, it’s suggested to book flights out of Buenos Aires for a time later than 5 PM to provide time for the transfer.

Documents Required
Citizens of the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK, and other Western European nations do not need a visa for tourist trips of up to ninety days. You will need a valid passport and will have to fill in an ‘arrival card.’ You will then be given a tourist visa stamp for stays of thirty, sixty, or ninety days. Staple the duplicate of the arrival card into your passport as you will need it to leave the country. If you lose it, it’s rarely a serious problem, but you’ll have to fill out a new form at border control. You will also be given a customs declaration form upon entering the country. Duty is not charged on used personal effects, books, and other articles for non-commercial purposes, up to a value of US $300. Make sure you declare any valuable electronic items such as laptop computers, as customs officers can be suspicious that you may be bringing them into the country to sell.

General Information
Golden Dorado is the main target for the river cruiser. The gigantic system that makes up the Paraná River is comprised of estuaries, tributaries, marshlands, lagoons, and side channels. The ample amount of baitfish swimming through these waters provides the perfect food source for hungry dorado. Anglers can move with the dorado depending on where they are in the river from the comfort of the river cruiser. Besides Golden Dorado, the river also holds pacú, pirá pitá, tararira, surubi, and chafalote.

Boats and Equipment
Anglers fish from new flats skiffs. Each boat has a casting deck on the bow and transom allowing for (2) anglers to fish at the same time. Large streamer patterns are the name of the game, so Yellow Dog encourages anglers to bring an 8 or 9-weight rod. These fish are voracious fighters, shredding feathers from their hook. Backup gear is recommended, but the mothership does have loaner equipment and flies can be ordered in advance.

Remember that Yellow Dog’s services are completely free! When you book a trip with Yellow Dog, you never pay more than when you book directly with the lodge or outfitter. All prices listed below are per person, based on double occupancy, and quoted in US dollars. Trips of any length can be arranged, so please call Yellow Dog for details and custom package pricing.

7 Nights / 6.5 Fishing Days = $5,400.00 per person

TERMS AND CONDITIONS – CANCELLATIONS
Receipt of deposit and/or final payment is acknowledgment that registrant has read and accepts the deposit, cancellation, refund and responsibility clauses for these packages. A non-refundable deposit of 50% per person is due at the time of booking for all lodging and fishing packages, and final payment if due 90 days prior to arrival. For cancellations, all deposits and payments are non-refundable. In no event will the lodge or Yellow Dog be responsible for any cancellation of services or operations due to inclement weather, any event of force majeure, airline delays, flight cancellations, or any other reason beyond the control of the lodge. The lodge will not refund payments in the event of poor weather, or if arrival flights are canceled or airline connections are missed. Additionally, the lodge and Yellow Dog are not responsible for covering costs associated with alternative travel arrangements including flights, hotels, meals or any other expenses incurred. For all of these reasons, and because of the no refund and no credit policy, Yellow Dog strongly recommends that anglers and guests purchase travel insurance and full coverage for your trip. If a canceled package is resold by either the lodge or by Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, then a full refund will be issued minus a $100.00 per person fee charged by Yellow Dog. Once again, Yellow Dog strongly recommends that anglers and guests purchase travel insurance all Argentina packages.

Payment Terms for All Yellow Dog Trip Bookings  
Unless otherwise noted on your invoice, for all trips less than 90 days out, full payment is required after receipt of the confirmation email to secure guides and reservations. For trips outside of 90 days, a 50% deposit is required upon receipt of confirmation email to confirm your reservations.
