For the 2024 and 2025 seasons, we have prime dates reserved and two options in Bhutan! For fall 2024, we have October and November weeks open for expedition float and river camping trips on the Punatsang-Chu. We can arrange 2024 dates for those eager to visit and fish in Bhutan.
In 2025, we’re introducing the Thunder Dragon Lodge, offering a second fishing option. Both the river camping trips and the lodge are run by the same outfitter, offering excellent fishing for golden and chocolate mahseer. The main difference: the expedition trips involve a week of floating and camping, while the lodge offers daily floats with a return to the lodge each evening. The lodge will be operational for the 2025 spring season.
We have secured prime 2025 weeks for both the lodge and camping programs, prioritizing Yellow Dog clients.

Punatsang-Chu Expedition Package
Includes Bhutan travel visas, fishing permits, daily tourist tariff (SDF), ground transportation, guides, all meals, beverages, tent camps, and boutique lodgings. Excludes personal expenses, gear, and 15-20% guide/staff gratuities. Cost: $10,450 per person.
Thunder Dragon Lodge Package
Includes Bhutan travel visas, daily tourist tariff (SDF), fishing permits, ground transportation, domestic air charters, guides, all meals, beverages, and lodgings. Excludes personal expenses, gear, and 15-20% guide/staff gratuities. Cost: $11,450 per person.
