GRAND SLAM DAYS Ever wondered how to introduce your kids to fly fishing? How to make it fun and exciting and something they’ll want to carry on into their adulthood? Yellow Dog client Jim has it figured out. He recently returned from a trip to Belize’s El Pescador Lodge, where the youngsters of the group proved to be savvy anglers.
Here’s what Jim had to say about the trip: “I wanted to thank you for recommending El Pescador lodge to our group fishing trip in July. We had a wonderful time and it was the perfect fit for the group.
We had 5 kids from ages 11-14 fishing and all of them caught fish. One day all five boys jumped big tarpon on the flats; they were thrilled. My youngest son Jon who is 11 caught a grand slam with three permit, a tarpon and a bonefish by 11:30 am.
According to the lodge, he is the youngest person to get a slam in the lodge history. Again, your team is top notch and I look forward using you all on all my fishing adventures. Thanks again, for all your help.”
