R. Yellow Dog was AWESOME!!! They took care of everything from start to finish. I would recommend them to anyone.

R. Lots of useful information in the planning packets. Travel itinerary was great to have.

R. Astove is an amazing place. The service, food and accommodations are all great. They take excellent care of you!!!!

R. The staff and guides at Astove are all professionals who take their jobs very seriously! They work hard to make sure you have a great experience.

- The food at Astove is excellent! All the food is delicious. You can tell the chefs take pride in their work.
Were you pleased with your guide(s) customer service, communication skills, professionalism, work ethic, and general fishing knowledge? If not, please share why.
- The guides at Astove are top notch. They know what they are doing and go above and beyond to make sure that you have a great experience.
What key pieces of gear or flies made your trip successful?
- Make sure you have the correct flies. Bonefish and triggerfish flies MUST have weed guards. Proper flats boots are required. Boots that can withstand a rugged terrain are a must.
What piece(s) of equipment would not leave home without for this trip , or your next, with Yellow Dog?
-Â Make sure you have full sun protection. Sunscreen, hats, gloves, face masks, sunglasses and leggings are essential to protect against sunburn
Would you return to this lodge destination? Please share why or why not.
- It was my second time at Astove and I definitely will/ would return again. Astove is not for everyone. Make sure you are in good shape as the terrain is very rugged. You go to Astove for the surf walks and they are not for everyone!!
How would you briefly summarize your overall trip experience?
- The trip was amazing! The team at Yellow Dog took care of everything. The staff and guides at Astove are great too. You won’t be disappointed.
