General Information
Gangler’s has set the standard for fly fishing for northern pike, lake trout, walleye, and arctic grayling for over 20 years. They were the first Canadian fishing lodge to offer clinics for fly-fishing for pike hosting Lefty Kreh and Flip Pallot on several occasions. Gangler’s manages the fishery with a catch & release policy for anglers and provincial law requires that fishermen only use barbless hooks. These practices have ensured healthy populations of fish and a fishery where a real trophy is a possibility!

As recently as ten years ago northern Canada was not on the radar for most fly anglers. Much of that has changed and many fly fishermen are aware of the excitement of fishing for trophy pike, walleye, and Arctic grayling in the northwestern corner of Manitoba. No other fishery offers more variety and quality than the North Seal River system. Anglers can fish for five different species in a wealth of different habitats and can book fly-outs to 30+ lakes and do several portages to others while onsite!

Boats and Equipment Required
Gangler’s North Seal River Lodge guides utilize custom 18’ and 16 1/2’ boats outfitted with outboard motors and depth finders. Additionally, a few of the lakes require portages and the guides will use ATVs to access the more remote lakeshores. To access the unique fly-out outposts, guests fly in small, safe floatplanes with highly trained pilots! The lodge recommends anglers bring all fishing equipment, terminal tackle, and flies.Â
