Isolated and Intimate Fishing Operation
A remote and very private lodge operation located on the narrows between Grosvenor Lake and Colville Lake, Grosvenor Lodge is an intimate fishing operation accommodating a maximum of six anglers per week. Guests can expect total seclusion, comfortable accommodations, and excellent fishing for rainbow trout, char, lake trout, northern pike, and sockeye salmon, as the “home waters” of Grosvenor remain virtually untouched by other area fishing operations. As an overall Alaskan destination, this lodge is truly a place you can call your own – isolated in the wilderness with great do-it-yourself fishing, incredible views, and extensive wildlife.

General Information
Located in a remote area, anglers have more or less private access to wide-open fishing right out the front door. The lake system boasts one of the largest sockeye salmon runs in the world, which in turn provides food and nutrients for the area’s abundant rainbow trout population. All the feeder streams, and especially the narrows directly in front of the lodge, receive a tremendous run of salmon smolt which attracts large concentrations of fish to the mouths of these areas. By nature of its isolation, Grosvenor can provide an amazingly quaint and exclusive Alaskan experience without using floatplanes daily and without sharing the area waters with other anglers. This is an ideal location for groups of friends or family, as six anglers can guarantee the Lodge to themselves. Area fishing includes day trips over to Lower American Creek, fishing the narrows directly in front of the Lodge, and numerous streams nearby. You can also arrange daily fly-outs to some of the best rivers in the regions, including the Kulik, Moraine, Funnel, Brooks, and others.
Boats and Equipment
Bristol Adventures, the operations company that runs Grosvenor Lodge, has a fleet of floatplane aircraft at its disposal, allowing anglers to access dozens of fisheries throughout the region based on the fishing conditions each day. Fly-outs can also be set up on a day-to-day basis and arranged directly at the lodge. Two Pilatus PC-12s on wheels provide round-trip transportation from Anchorage to King Salmon, and then guests will fly via floatplane directly to Grosvenor. It is recommended that anglers bring their own gear including rods, reels, waders, and wading boots if they prefer to use their own gear. If you would rather use the Lodge’s gear, however, they do provide high-quality rods, reels, waders, and boots at no additional charge. Grosvenor Lodge and the guides also provide all flies and terminal tackle during your stay.

Yellow Dog Client Reviews
“We caught the biggest rainbows we have ever seen. The Dollies were numerous, nice size and fun to catch. We also caught some big lake trout and several whitefish. It was great fishing. The habitats were pristine, varied and beautiful. And the brown bears were everywhere, a huge bonus for us. We even saw a lynx walking on the beach at camp. The guides were great and the chef was a rockstar. It was a special trip for our family that we will always remember.” – Linda C.
