How To Get There
Your trip starts upon arrival in Anchorage’s Ted Stevens International Airport (ANC). Several major airlines serve Alaska from the Lower 48 with connections direct to Anchorage. From Anchorage, you will fly to Dillingham, Alaska (DLG) on a privately arranged charter by Mission. 

Arrival and Departure Details / Times
Guests overnight in Anchorage the day before your trip begins and connect to Dillingham the following morning. Fridays are non-fishing days with casting clinics provided upon arrival if desired. Contact Yellow Dog for specifics on arrival/departure times. 

Documents Required
Photo identification is required by airlines to purchase your Alaska Fishing License. Licenses can be purchased on the first day of your trip or online before your trip by visiting this website: Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

General Information
The Bristol Bay region has the largest salmon runs in the world, and the sheer number of fish is mind-boggling. Depending on the time of the season that you fish this particular region, you can find all five species of Pacific salmon (kings, silvers, sockeyes, chums, and pinks) along with trophy rainbow trout, Dolly Varden, Arctic char, Arctic grayling, northern pike, lake trout and sheefish. Over a standard week, you can expect to fish a great variety of waters, from small creeks and streams to large rivers. The Lodge maintains outpost camps with boats scattered throughout the region, covering a variety of waters accessed through exclusive-use permits (including the Upper Togiak refuge). Because of these factors, you will have daily access to the best fishing the region has to offer. Each day of fishing is based solely on the desire of the angler, determined the evening prior with the Lodge’s outstanding guide staff. 

Boats and Equipment 
Three De Havilland Beavers on floats provide fishing access throughout the region. The Lodge also utilizes a large fleet of aluminum boats equipped with Yamaha jet motors – some based at the Lodge itself, and many others strategically scattered throughout the region on numerous rivers. The Lodge provides all gear and equipment, including rods, reels, wading boots, flies, and all terminal tackle. Guests are welcome to bring their gear if they choose.

2023 Package Rates
Remember that Yellow Dog’s services are completely free! When you book a trip with Yellow Dog, you never pay more than when you book directly with the lodge or outfitter. All prices listed below are per person and based on double occupancy.

Fishing Package Per Person, Per Week (Saturday to Saturday) = $14,395.00 per person

What’s Included:

• Round-trip transportation from Anchorage to Dillingham via private air charter
• Round-trip transportation from Dillingham to the lodge
• All accommodations at Mission Lodge
• All meals at the lodge
• All taxes and park fees
• Alaska fishing license
• Fuel surcharges
• Daily guided fly-out fishing (all daily fly-outs weather permitting)
• All fishing tackle, flies, lures, tippet, and use of waders, boots, rods, and reels (if needed)
• Open bar and all alcoholic beverages

What’s Not Included:

• Airfare to Anchorage, Alaska (ANC)
• Lodging and meals while in Anchorage
• Items purchased at the lodge gift shop
• Gratuities for guides and lodge staff

Mission Lodge (Aleknagik, Alaska)
TERMS AND CONDITIONS – CANCELLATIONS
A deposit of 50% per person is due at the time of booking for all lodging and fishing packages, and final payment if due 90 days prior to arrival. All cancellations must be received in writing, sent to Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, LLC. For cancellations outside of 90 days, a full trip credit will be offered if substitute dates are available. Please note that this is entirely at the discretion of the lodge. Otherwise, a refund will be given minus a $500.00 per person cancellation fee charged by the lodge and a $100.00 per person cancellation fee charged by Yellow Dog. For cancellation inside of 90 days, refunds and credits will not be issued unless trip can be resold by either the lodge or by Yellow Dog (in which case there will also be a $500.00 per person fee charged by the lodge in addition to the $100.00 per person fee charged by Yellow Dog Flyfishing). Changes made to a trip itinerary after a trip has begun are not eligible for refund. In no event will the lodge or Yellow Dog be responsible for any cancellation of services or operations due to inclement weather, any event of force majeure, airline delays, flight cancellations, or any other reason beyond the control of the lodge. The lodge will not refund payments in the event of poor weather, or if arrival flights are cancelled or airline connections are missed. Additionally, the lodge and Yellow Dog are not responsible for alternative travel arrangements including flights, hotels, meals and any other expenses incurred. Mission Lodge reserves the right to cancel or alter scheduled flights, tours or itineraries as situations or conditions require for safe operations due to weather or other factors beyond their control. For all of these reasons, and because of the lodge’s cancellation policy, Yellow Dog strongly recommends that anglers and guests purchase travel insurance and full coverage for your trip. Receipt of deposit and/or final payment is acknowledgment that registrant has read and accepts the deposit, cancellation, refund and responsibility clauses for these packages. Once again, Yellow Dog strongly recommends that anglers and guests purchase travel insurance for these Alaska packages.

Payment Terms For All Yellow Dog Trip Bookings
In order to lock in your trip reservation, we ask that you please remit payment at the time of receipt of invoice. For your convenience, Yellow Dog accepts on-line payments via a direct and secure ACH platform – a quick and easy way to complete your trip reservation. Note that all Yellow Dog invoices include a live link that takes you directly to the Yellow Dog ACH platform for fast and easy payment. For open and existing invoices with a remaining balance, payment reminders also include this easy link to the ACH page.

Other customary forms of payment that are accepted are checks or wire transfers. If you would like to pay in a different way or have any questions about alternate payment methods, please contact Yellow Dog at (888) 777-5060 or (406) 585-8667. We are available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Beginning September 1st, 2020, Yellow Dog will apply a 3% convenience fee for all credit card transactions.
